Halloween might look a little different when you share your home with pets, but it is just as fun. Whether your dog greets trick or treaters at the door or your cat watches the costumes from the couch, a few simple steps can keep everyone safe and happy tonight.
Keep the treats out of reach, especially chocolate and candy with xylitol. Make sure candles and decorations are placed where curious paws and tails cannot reach them. If your dog or cat gets nervous around visitors, give them a quiet room with their favourite blanket and a toy. A calm space is the best gift you can give them on a busy night.
Most of all, enjoy the small moments. Snap a few pictures, share a laugh, and give your pets a little extra love before bedtime.
